It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Esther Carolina Partida. She was born in the state of Zacatecas, Mexico. Esther is survived by her loving and devoted husband Jose A. Partida of 68 years. She passed away from a 30-year battle with cancer at the age of 88 on December 26, 2024. She passed peacefully surrounded by her husband and family. She was a cherished wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, godmother and friend. Esther was a caring and strong woman, who placed others before herself. Her generosity was boundless and was shown every day in her selfless actions. She was a faithful Catholic and prayed the rosary every night. She upheld her values and traditions passing them on to her family. She encouraged her family to always stay united and support each other.
Esther enjoyed gardening, knitting, cooking, traveling, gathering with family, attending mass daily and keeping company with good friends. She was a member of La Sociedad Guadalupana, Penquenas Comunidades coordinator, lector at St. Peter Martyr Church and Sabatina prayer group participant.
Esther is preceded in death by her son Jose; parents Guadalupe and Epifanio; brother Jose Trinidad; sisters Olaya, Eva, and Concepcion.
She is survived by her brother Benjamin and sister Alta Gracia. She is also survived by her twelve children Joe, Gerardo, Guadalupe (Gregorio), Francisco, Jaime (Michelle), Angelica (Michael), Veronica (Craig), Epifanio (Tisha), Carolina (Joseph), Maria (Wade), Antonio (Heather), Jesus (Elizabeth), thirty-three grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025from 2:00pm - 6:00pm with a rosary at 4:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral Liturgy Friday,January 17, 2025, at 11:00am at St. Peter Martyr Church. Committal service following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch
