Felipe Rosario Dimalanta passed away on Saturday night after complications due to sepsis. He was a fighter and held onto life until his very last breath. As Felipe begins a new chapter in Heaven, his vivacious memory will continue to dance in the hearts and minds of all he touched.
Felipe was born in Calasiao, Pangasinan, PI. He was a traveling merchant and blacksmith in the Philippines. After moving to America in 1974, he became a grape picker and hospital dietary aide. He was also a very passionate singer. Felipe avidly believed in hard-work and will forever be remembered for his contagious sense of humor and magnetic personality.
Felipe is survived by his 8 graceful daughters, Rose (Paul), Teresita (Rod), Ada (Hermie), Mila (Jose), Severina (Mario), Yoly (Sonny), Belen (Alex), and Leticia (Joseph); 2 resilient sons, Rudy (Camila) and Bill (Nellie); 27 outstanding grandchildren, & 15 beautiful great-grandchildren. Felipe was fiercely devoted to his family, and as his soul rises above, he will be embraced by his loving wife, Brigida, and gifted grandson, Denden.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 5pm with a vigil at 7pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy, Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10am at Our Lady Queen of the World Church in Bay Point. Committal services following at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette.
