Francisco passed away in the family home, surrounded by his family, after a quick battle with an infection, he was 100 years old. He lived what many would call the American dream. He came to this country as an immigrant, from Monterrey, Mexico who worked hard and was able to give his family both here and away a better life. He worked at the US Steel Mill in Pittsburg, for 30 years. He was a member of the US Steel Workers Union Local #1440. One of his proudest moments was when he was sworn in as a US Citizen at the young age of 80.
His greatest love and passion were his 3 grandchildren, Jenevieve, Frank and Vincent "Sonny" Ferrante. He was their #1fan. In his eyes, the world rose and set with them.
Francisco is survived by his daughter Jessica (Ray) Ferrante and his 3 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Rosario Quintero. Pop was loved by many and will forever be missed.
