Francisco Antonio
Lopez
Sep 17, 1937 — Nov 18, 2019
Pittsburg
"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever" Psalm 73:26
Francisco Antonio Lopez passed away peacefully in the company of family and loved ones on Monday, Nov 18, 2019. His life has left a cherished impression in the hearts of those he touched.
Francisco was born in the country of El Salvador to a loving blended family. He went to school and earned a living as an electrician and construction worker. He came to know his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in his adult years, forever changing the course of his life and purpose. He married his sweetheart and formed a beautiful family. Francisco was consistent and could be counted on to keep his word. One would often find Franciso with a book within arms reach for he was a ravenous bibliophile, devouring words, knowledge and ideas and sharing them. He disciplined his body for strength and his kept his mind sharp. His spirit remained robust and curious, well nurtured and in touch with God. His self discipline was recompensed later in life. He remained strong in the face of painful and difficult health battles and yet his words reflected his tenacity and faithfulness. He encouraged his family to uphold the honor and glory to God despite his own physical frailties and ailments. Francisco has been and will remain the epitome of loyalty and inner strength for those who knew and loved him.
Francisco is survived by his kind and loving wife, Josefina; devoted children Janet Lopez of Peoria, Luis Lopez of Pittsburg and Anna Arreola of Modesto; as well as his grandchildren, Karla Sarazua (Levi, Josiah, Malakai) of Peoria, Julio Mejia of Modesto, Cesar and Matthew of Modesto, Daniel, Elizabeth and Andres of Pittsburg, CA. He is also survived by his siblings Annie Centeno (Carlos) of Katy TX, Carlos Jovel from El Salvador, Mayra from El Salvador. As well as nieces and nephews, Pastor William Bonilla (Maggie & family) from Katy TX, Claudia Cerritos from Katy TX, Rosie Elizalde from San Francisco, Carlos Centeno from New York, Nena Garcia from El Salvador and Agustin Garcia from Canada. His warm, generous, kind and encouraging spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
