Frank Rossini passed away at the age of 97 in Spring Valley, California (San Diego) on December 20th, 2025.  He was born in Pittsburg, California on June 24, 1928 to Mary Macaluso and Paul Rossini (of Sicily).  He was later raised by his step-father, Don Smith, along with his brother John Rossini, step-brother Jack Smith and sister, Donna Marie Smith.

Frank graduated from Pittsburg High School and soon afterwards, along with his two older brothers joined the U.S. Navy where he served mainly in the San Diego/Coronado area (Korean War).  He then married Carolyn Sue Baker and lived in Pittsburg. They had 6 children:  MaryAnn, Frank Jr, Donald, Carolyn (deceased), Peggy Lee and Ronald.  He welcomed his son, Eric, with second wife, Janet Dost.  He has 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Upon leaving the Navy, Frank worked for the Dow Chemical Company on many large projects and later helped develop technology for an artificial kidney, used with dialysis.  He worked there until his retirement.  He was an active member of the Pittsburg Elks Lodge in his early years.  He also served as a Boy Scout leader in the Clayton-Concord area.

He resided in Concord, California for many years in his lovely custom-built home on Olive Drive where he hosted many large holiday events for friends and family members.  He loved to cook, tend to his large garden and raise rabbits.  He was often found at work on some home project in his garage workshop; where he could fix anything.

He loved the outdoors and took many trips across the U.S. and to Alaska, Mexico and Europe, and along with his family, enjoyed motorcycling, hunting, fishing and boating on the Delta, and abalone diving at Point Arena.   One of his favorite places on earth was Pinecrest Lake where extended family gathered to camp and fish every summer.
