Freddie A. Igano was born Jan 11th, 1946. His name "Freddie" was decided on that day because it happened to be a "Friday" and that's how he got his name. Freddie was the second son of Igmedio and Carmen Igano, younger brother of first-born Norberto A. Igano of Fabrica, Negros Occidental, Philippines. Freddie attended a high school on Faraon Institute and attended college in Cebu Institute of Technology where he successfully graduated with a Degree in Civil Engineering. Shortly after achieving his Degree, Freddie migrated to The United States of America in the year of 1977. In that very same year, Freddie joined The U.S. Army where he was stationed at Fort Lewis, Oklahoma, and Freddie was also stationed in Seattle Washington.
Freddie had a son Wilton Igano from his first marriage, but Wilton's mother passed away from Kidney Failure when Wilton was a young man. Freddie then remarried for a second time to a beautiful young lady by the name of Lourdes Sornito, a successful nurse from Iloilo Philippines. At a point in their lives, both Freddie and Lourdes worked at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley California but in different departments, Freddie in The Central Supply dept. and Lourdes as a nurse. Freddie then began working at Sutter Hospital in Vallejo, Ca. and then moved on to Kaiser in Antioch which was his last place of employment. Freddie, and Lourdes were blessed with three handsome sons, Kelso being the oldest, Keno, the middle child, and Kobe the youngest of the three. Kelso followed his dad's footsteps and joined the Army where he is still serving as of today.
On the morning of Sunday, February 18th, 2024, Lourdes and Kobe returned home from attending Sunday Mass. Now Freddie would often ask Kobe to pray for him before Lourdes and Kobe would attend Sunday Mass because Freddie could not accompany the two due to his health condition(s). Upon Lourdes's and Kobe's return home from church, Lourdes noticed that Freddie was still in bed, but with his mouth wide open. Fearing the worst, she proceeded to check up on him and soon realized Freddie's body was cold to her touch. Lourdes being a First Responder as a Nurse immediately began CPR vigorously on Freddie in an effort to save her beloved husband. She administered CPR without stopping, but sadly, to no avail. Upon the arrival of the local Police and Paramedics, they observed Lourdes administering CPR but soon determined Freddie had passed away and declared Freddie deceased.
Freddie had numerous medical conditions, but his most challenging of all, was undoubtedly his 16+ year battle with Kidney Failure for which Freddie was receiving Dialysis treatments. Freddie A. Igano is survived by his loving wife and four amazing sons, along with his one and only sibling, Norberto A. Igano. May Freddie rest in peace and that The Heavenly Father welcome his beloved son Freddie A. Igano with open arms as he continues his new journey in Heaven while he watches over his family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm with a rosary at 4:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 10:30am at Church of the Good Shepherd.
