Fulvia passed peacefully away at home Sunday, May 18, 2014 surrounded by her children. Fulvia immigrated from Italy through Ellis Island with her young daughter in 1950. Her second child Ronald came shortly after. She and her husband John (Gianni) owned John's Imported Liquors for many years. She was a strong, loyal, loving mother, grandmother (Nonna), great grandmother and friend. She is survived by her children Riccarda (Sandro) of Montebello, Italy, Ronald of Clayton and granddaughter Gia Mason (Thomas) of Antioch, Great granddaughter Emily Rose (who shared her Nonna's birthday), and in Italy by her brother. She was preceded in death by her husband John and grandson Frank P. Gambalie III; r Adriano Pesavento, sister-in-law Gabriela Menegon, 5 nieces and nephews, 9 great-nieces and nephews and many, many cousins. Friends and family are invited to a visitation Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 6:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Chapel blessing Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11:00am both days at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to the Hospice of the East Bay.
