Gary Anthony Clontz passed away on January 25, 2025, of natural causes in his home in Pittsburg. He was 74 yrs old. Gary is survived by his adopted daughter Katie Clontz, his brothers Paul Clontz of Austin, TX and Alan Clontz of Concord, Ca. and sister, Linda Kohal of Pittsburg, Ca. Gary is also survived by his stepfamily Luisa Clontz, Joseph and James Fernandez, Maria Hills, Margarita Ferrari, Cindy Archer, and Carmen Foisy. Gary was also blessed with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Leon and Audrey Clontz, sister Louise Clontz and brother Robin Clontz.
Concord, Ca was Gary's home most of his life but as a musician he moved about touring with bands like "Glenn Yarborough", "The Used Blues Band" as well as being a studio musician and having made an album with his first band, "Havenstock River Band". He also sat in with many other bands, especially blues bands. With partners, Gary owned and worked in the Flooring Business, specializing in hardwood.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Jude's Children Hospital in Gary's name.
