Genevieve Cappucini, 91, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Oklahoma and resided in Pittsburg for 80 years. Genevieve was a homemaker and a member of Church of the Good Shepherd. She was involved in numerous community
and charitable organizations,
St. Peter Martyr School PTA, Good Shepherd Womens Guild, Wrens, and Pittsburg Womens Club. Gen enjoyed family gatherings,
cooking, sewing, reading,
and Bingo. She traveled throughout the world and especially
enjoyed her vacation home in Lake Tahoe. She is survived by her loving children: Patricia Cacciaroni and husband Dave, Carolyn Alatorre and husband Art, Lynn Cappucini, Mark Cappucini and wife Cyndi, and Joan Matejcek and husband Pat, 12 grandchildren,
12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Alphonse "Red" Cappucini in 2003, sisters
Mary Bugni, Josephine Cappucini and brother John Gillio. Visitation will be Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 2:00pm with a vigil at 4:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Monday, January 30, 2012 at 10:00am at Church of the Good Shepherd. Committal services
