Glenna was born on March 19, 1941, in Dodge City, Kansas, to Morton Roy Smith and Alma Lois Smith, both deceased. She passed away early in the morning of Thursday, July 30, 2026, at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek, California. She was 85.
Glenna spent her youth in Kansas and Colorado. In the early 1960s, she moved to the San Luis Obispo, California, area, where she met and later married Lynn Tyler Vincent. They moved to Reno, Nevada, and had two sons.
After she and Lynn divorced in 1974, Glenna moved to the Bay Area with her two sons. Over the years, she lived in Concord, Walnut Creek, and Martinez, which she called home for the past 30 years.
Glenna is survived by her younger brother, David Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her older son, Ronald L. Vincent and his wife, Christine Calone Vincent, of Pittsburg, California; her younger son, Randall S. Vincent and his wife, Jamie Knapp Vincent, of Pleasant Hill, California; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her family will hold a private celebration of life in early September.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Glenna’s memory to Meals on Wheels Contra Costa. Glenna delivered meals as a volunteer in Walnut Creek during the 1980s and later benefited from many of the organization’s services. Through Meals on Wheels, she met many wonderful people who regularly called or stopped by to check on her.
