Gonzalo N. Arrivas, a resident of Pittsburg, passed away on January 16, 2023. Gonzalo was born in the Philippines on September 21, 1934. He migrated to the United States in 1951 because his father was stationed in Junction City, KS with the U.S. Army.  Gonzalo graduated from Junction City High School in 1953. The Arrivas family relocated to Pittsburg, CA in 1957.  Gonzalo served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1959. Gonzalo was an electronics and tax professional and provided services to his clients for many decades. Gonzalo's hobbies included watching basketball, football, politics, and playing the lottery. He loved our visits with family and always delighted to see his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gonzalo is survived by his wife, Rose. Children - Amelia (Robert), Larry (Elena's Spouse), Caroline (Patrick), Steven (Lesley), Ginger, Velvet (Miki), Joey (Terry). Grandchildren – Joshua (Rachel), Nicole, Candice, Catrina (Jose), Elishia (Eric), Katie, Jonathan (Jackie), Meara (Jalen), Mason. Great-Grandchildren - Luke, Bella, Jacob, Jimi, Micah, Shantelle, Angelina, Madison, Malaya, Ember, Evangeline, Noah, Isaac, Jensen, Maebreigh. His brothers, Alejandro, Augustine (Sonia) and Rodolfo and many, many, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Serafin Sr., and Rosario. His daughter, Elena. His grandson, Randy. His brothers, Serafin Jr. (Amelia), Romeo, Rolando, Jorge and sister Zenaida.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm with a chapel blessing at 3:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
