Hector Garcia made his way to the Lord on May 11, 2022. He was surrounded by his loving family during his peaceful transition. Born in Antioch California on March 13, 1954, to parents who adored him. Although he was a friendly and sentimental man Hector was a US Merchant Marine who graduated from the Harry Lunenburg School of Seamanship in 1974 in Biney Point, Maryland. He was hardworking and well-traveled during his tenure with the Marines and enjoyed being on the ship and in Puerto Rico. Hector appreciated the simple things in life such as watching a San Francisco Giants baseball game and eating ice cream. He was an avid lover of salsa music and often danced in the park with his family while listening to Frankie Ruiz. He was known for his infectious laughter, warm heart, and kind spirit. Hector is preceded in death by his parents Reynaldo and Mercedes Garcia and his brothers Wilson, Freddie, and Saul Garcia. He is survived by brothers Ray Garcia (Roselinda), Henry Garcia, Angel Garcia (Marueen), Sam Garcia and sister Migdalia Garcia-Roth (Greg) as well as a host of nephews, nieces and friends who love him dearly.

Join us in celebrating Hector's life. Family and friends are invited to a visitation and funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 2:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 11:00am at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Concord.
