In the early morning of September 1st 2024, Helen Atkinson had passed away in her home while on hospice surrounded by loved ones. Helen Atkinson lived until the age of 74 years old and is survived by 2 children, 3 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Helen Atkinson along with her husband had been residents of West Pittsburg/Bay Point for over 50 years. Her husband Richard Atkinson had been an avid hunter and fisherman as well as the (lead custodian of Shore Acres Elementary School?) until his retirement. Helen Atkinson spent most of her professional life in the hospitality field and caring for her two children Michael and Sharon. Her husband passed years prior.
