Helen M. Schiano, 94, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025 with her family by her side. Helen was born in Dinuba, CA. She resided most of her life in Pittsburg, CA where she was raised by her mother, Angela, and her Uncle Louis Tiscareno and family. As she was an only child, she gained four sisters and one brother through the Tiscareno family. Her Uncle Louis fondly became her "Papa" as she called him.

In August 1955, she married the love of her life, Frank. They shared almost 60 years of married life together. In 1956 they had their first daughter with a second one to follow in 1959.

Helen was a very kindhearted, generous, giving person. Whether it was her homemade baked cookies, fruit from her yard or a gift for a special occasion, she was always ready to give them to family, neighbors and friends. She enjoyed cooking and baking, watching her soap operas, game shows, "Zip trips" and the Food Network and many cooking shows. Most of all she enjoyed her family, whom she was very proud of.

Helen is survived by her two daughters, Sue Sierra (Dave) and Maria Montez (Richard), three grandchildren, Keisha, David and Angelica, Ten great grandchildren, Eleven great great grandchildren, her sisters, MaryLou, Lydia, Juanita and one brother Louie. She was predeceased by her husband Frank, her mother Angela, her father Louis, and sister Pauline.

Services will be held Thursday, June 5th at 10:30 am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at noon at the Holy Cross Cemetery.

She will be sadly missed but will be forever in our hearts.
