Henry was proud to say he was from Pittsburg, CA and remained lifelong friends with many he grew up with. After graduating from Pittsburg High School he went to work at Glass Containers, where he was a dedicated employee for 47 years.

Henry's passion in life was golf, and he loved spending time with all his "Golf Buddies". He enjoyed watching all sports, especially his SF Giants and Green Bay Packers. He loved taking trips to the ocean and to Lake Tahoe, but his favorite times were just being with his family.

Henry is survived by his loving wife, Sharon, their children Raymond Hefner, Matthew Gonzales, and Emily Gonzales, mother Jennie Gonzales, sister Cyndi Cappucini (Mark), Aunt Mary Castro, and sister-in-law Debra Gonzales. He was proud "Papa Henry" to his grandchildren Caleb Hefner and Emma Hefner, and Uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Hank Gonzales and brother Michael Gonzales.

Henry had a strong faith and was a member of St. Ignatius of Antioch. He also felt blessed to be part of his Monday Morning Bible Study group.

Henry valiantly fought a long hard battle against cancer, never giving up. He passed away surrounded by his loved ones, and while it saddens us deeply to see him go, we know he is now at peace.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 10:00am with a chapel blessing at 11:00am the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Committal services following at Oak View Memorial Park Cemetery in Antioch.
