Mina Gallmann was called by God & entered into Heaven on August 22, 2013 after a long wonderful life of 96 years. She was surrounded by her children as she peacefully departed. Mina was born in El Salvador, Central America, migrated to the United States in the 1940's and became an American Citizen in the late1950's. Mina originally settled in San Francisco but moved to Pittsburg in 1979 and was a long time parishioner at the Church of the Good Shepherd. She was active as a Catholic Daughter and at one time served as the President of the Good Shepherd Women's Guild. Mina volunteered every Friday night at Good Shepherd Bingo and at the Senior Bingo on Tuesday mornings for many years. She also loved to play bingo at the Boys & Girls Club every Saturday night. Every now and then she could also be found enjoying a good card game with her girlfriends. She is survived by 5 of her children and their spouses as well as 15 grandchildren & 15 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 6:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm at Church of the Good Shepherd. Funeral liturgy Friday, August 30, 2013 1:00pm at Church of the Good Shepherd. A private burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
