Horace "Ray"
Enea
Jul 16, 1932 — Apr 24, 2020
Pittsburg
Horace "Ray" Anthony Enea born on 7/16/32 in Pittsburg, CA to Tony & Rose Enea, longtime Pittsburg residents. Ray attended Pittsburg schools & after his graduation from Pittsburg H.S., he went to San Jose State & earned a B.A. for Public School service in 1955. He began his teaching career at Village School in Pittsburg in 1955 when he received his notice to report for military training on 1/3/56, in Fort Ord. From there he went to Fort Lee, VA & completed an 8 week course in Army Supply Systems. Later he served for a time in Japan. After the Army he returned home & started teaching school again at Parkside School. He taught mainly the fifth grade for some 32 years. Upon retiring from teaching he served the Lord by going to juvenile halls, jails, prisons, & rehab places for 20 years. He brought the unconditional love of Jesus to all he met. Although Ray never had children, many of these men called him "Papa" Ray or
"Brother" Ray, for all the love & support he gave them. He was truly loved by all!
Ray is survived by many Rosselli nieces & nephews, his beloved cousin Mary Ann Billeci and cousins from the Troia family. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Tony & Rose Enea, his beloved sister, Jerry Rosselli & brother Joe Enea (1/10/20)
We will miss Joe & Ray & all the love & laughter they brought to all who knew them! But now they are in their forever home with Jesus!
Future service will be held at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel and will be announced.
