Jacobo Garcera Gomez passed away on Tuesday after a valiant battle with kidney failure after his heart stroke 9 months ago. He was a devoted father and a husband to us. For his remaining days, he paid more time for his family and not a single day did he forget his family, relatives and friends.

Jacobo's parents, Pedro Gomez Sr. and Esperanza Garcera Gomez were both deceased. He has 2 brothers, Pedro Jr. lives in Hercules and Antonio lives in Sacramento.

Jacobo was born in the Philippines. He joined US Army in 1970 for 4 years and worked in different federal agency until he retired in USPS last 2000. He loves to attend Family Sunday Mass in Good Shepherd Church, special celebrations like Simbang Gabi before Christmas. He goes for fishing in Marina, eating in restaurant with his family and go for Horse Race in Golden Gate Fields.

Jacobo is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann, devoted child Jayllourd Mars and with his  3 children from other family, Haydee, Jacob and Michael with grandchildren, Philip, Joshua, Ellie and Violet. His generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited for his Last Salute followed by his funeral liturgy on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 4:00pm at Good Shepherd Church.
