Mr. Ram passed away peacefully on August 2, 2013 at his home in Pittsburg, CA. Born May 5, 1931 in Punjab, India (Village Khela), he came to the United States on August 6, 1994. He touched many lives with his kind heart and positive spirit. Jagiri is survived by his seven children – Gian Kaur, Udho Ram, Joginder Lal, Bhajan Kaur, Kishan Chand, Tirath Ram, and Simar Singh. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Mr. Ram is preceded in death by daughters Mohinder Kaur and Gurbax Kaur, as well as his grandchildren Jaswinder Kumar, Dej Raj, and Jasveer Lal.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation that will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Services will be held on Thursday August 8, 2013 at 10:00am, all at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Following the services, there will be cremation at Oak View Memorial Park in Antioch, CA.
