James Gerard Nichols peacefully passed away on December 13, 2017. He was 67 years old. Born on March 21, 1950, to Rustica and James Nichols of Pittsburg, California, Jim was the oldest sibling of the eight Nichols children. Jim graduated from Pittsburg High School and Palmer College of Chiropractic. For over thirty years, Jim was a Doctor of Chiropractic who served his patients with the utmost care and compassion. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lori Nichols-Demapeles, his brother-in-laws, Mario Demapeles, Marvin Patague, and Paul Prado.
Jim was well-known in the Pittsburg community and had many lifelong friendships. He was known as being a "sharp dresser" and had an eye for beautiful cars. Over his lifetime, he was able to fulfill many of his dreams - he traveled, he golfed, he had work that he was passionate about, and most importantly, he had a wonderful family.
Jim is survived by his wife, Evette Lombardo-Nichols and son, Remington. Jim is also survived by his siblings, George (Josie), Edward, Nora, Becky, Frank (Anabelle), and Cecelia (John), as well as his nieces and nephews, Carissa, Angelisa (JR), Kristen (Joel), Shalai (John), Nicolas, Anthony, Christopher, Teadora, Arianna, Vanessa, Leila, DellaRose, Kalea, Noah, Makena, and Alana.
Jim will always be remembered. He graced our lives with charm, wit, and love.
A Celebration of Jim's life will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 5-11pm at the Event Center at the Delta View Golf Course 2232 Golf Club Rd, Pittsburg.
