Jesus was born in Purepero Michoacán on January 1, 1954 and arrived to the United States when he was 16. He started working as a field worker picking strawberries. He then worked for Waste Management as a Sanitary Engineer for 24 years. After several years of medical issues, on February 21, 1996 he was given a second chance at life. This second chance brought on many complications and pain, but he endured it all with grace and strength for the sake of being with his family. Those that knew him never heard him complain. On the contrary, he wouldn't stop. He was afraid that rest would slow him down and he wanted to make sure that he was here for his daughters and grandsons. Jesus was a true family man no matter what he was doing he would drop everything to come to your aid. His true joy were his daughters. He loved cooking for his loved ones, especially his menudo. Although his departure was abrupt and unexpected he would be remembered for his generous and loving heart. The special and distinct ways he would call his loved ones' names are cherished. He would be remembered as a loving father, brother, uncle, grandpa, and loyal friend. Jesus was 62 years old when our heavenly Father called him home to be alongside his mother and father. Jesus survived by his daughters; Blanca and Lourdes, his brothers; Salvador, Ramiro, Antonio, Reynaldo, Javier, Diego, and Ramon, his 21 nieces and nephews, 16 great nieces and nephews, and his grandchildren; Joseph, Marc Anthony, and Gabriel. Jesus will forever be in our hearts and memories. This isn't a farewell but a see you later, you will be heartly missed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 4:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Friday, March 18, 2016 at 10:00am at Church of the Good Shepherd.
