Obituary

Jesus (Jess) Ricardo Rosalez passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his home in Hercules surrounded by his family. Jess was born and raised in Pittsburg on July 6, 1964 and then graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1982. Jess not only wrestled for Pittsburg High and Diablo Valley College but was also BVAL champion two years in a row and went on to compete at the state level in 1981. Jess gave back by coaching wrestling at Pittsburg High and at the local Boys and Girls Club. Jess then joined the Marine Corps and soon after he went on join the boilermaker's union for 25 years. Jess also was a lead mechanic at the Chevron refinery for fifteen years in Richmond. Jess's hobbies included collecting rare weaponry and expressing himself through many creative artforms.

Jess is survived by his wife Verdell, mother Lydia Garcia Rosalez, brother Ruben Rosalez (Alice), sisters Sofia Rosalez-Hinojosa (Omar), Adriana Rosalez (Fernando), Priscilla Rosalez. He is also survived by his children, Angela, Jesse M. Antonio (Ivelise), Corrina & Julianna and his grandchildren, Madix, Antonio, Ariel, Sela, Nicholas, Emilio, Leonardo and Eliyanah. His uncles Joe Rosalez (Dorlores), Frank Rosalez (Dale), Tony and Ben Garcia; his Aunts, Patty and Leobarda Berumen.

Friends and family are invited to the viewing on Wednesday January 30, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 10:00am at St. Peter Martyr Church.
