John Rlee McCoy Sr., departed to be with his Lord on June 30, 2026. He was born in Prescott, Arkansas, on October 4, 1940, to the parents of the late Archie Lee "Boss" McCoy and Florence A. McCoy. John was a longtime resident of Pittsburg and truly loved his community. He will be missed by many. One of John's favorite things to say was, "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it" Psalm 118:24.

John leaves to carry on his memory, children: Simona, Elina, Sheri, Yvette, Laticia, Michelle, Jerry, Andrea, Alexander, Marisa, John Jr., Nadine, Josephine, Jilian; beautiful grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Norma Jean and Kathy LaVon; lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, special family friend Ron Easiley, neighbors, care providers and friends.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 1:30 pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
