John was born in Walnut Creek, and graduated from Concord High School. He served 4 years in the Navy. He spent the rest of his life working on anything that had an engine. He was a certified auto technician.
John is survived by his loving wife Riza, his mother Bobbye, two brothers, Charles and Perry, one sister Elysa, two nephews, Chris and Kurtis, one niece Ashley. He was a generous and loving husband, son and friend to all who had the privilege to know him.
