David Becerra, age 53, passed away on august 14, 2021 after battling cancer for 3 years. David was born in Yahualica Jalisco. He came from a family of 10 siblings and he was the third child to be born. He was about 11 years old when his father passed away. He had to provide for his family at a very young age. He was really passionate about horses as a kid. He worked for a local man in Mexico and came very familiar with how to take care of horses. David loved collecting horse items. His home is filled with horse items. To statue, pictures and even his favorite hat with a horseshoe symbol.

David came to the USA when he was about 17 years old working in the fields with his older brother picking grapes. He was a resident of Pittsburg for about 26 years. He enjoyed working as a landscape gardener. He made many great friends on his journey as a landscaper. He always loved to plant anything he could get his hands on. Herbs, fruits, vegetables, flowers, and trees. He made a huge garden with his favorite plants in his home. You can always enjoy something out of his garden from peaches, nopales, tomatoes, and etc.

David was an honest, loving, respected man and he will always be remembered.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, august 24, 2021 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy will follow at St. Peter Martyr Church at 1:00pm.
