On Thursday, November 22, 2018, Jose (Zay) Claudio Vasquez, a loving husband, father, son, and brother passed away suddenly at the age of 41 years old. Jose was born on April 20, 1977 in Fairfield, California and also was a lifelong resident of Pittsburg, California. Jose attended Pittsburg Schools and graduated in 1996. Jose worked in construction. Jose was an advocate to his community where he volunteered as a coach and he enjoyed collecting classic old school cars. Jose lived for his family and enjoyed making memories with his family and friends. Jose believed family was everything, and lived by the motto was "Family First". Jose was also loved by many people in the community.

Jose is survived by his wife, Selena Berdiago Vasquez; children, Jose Robert Vasquez Jr, Eliza Marisela Vasquez, Marcello Rosezay Vasquez; father and mother, Manuel and Linda Vasquez; maternal grandfather, Juan Ruiz; brother, Jesus Vasquez Sr; sisters, Angelica Vasquez and Elvira Vasquez; and loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends. Jose is preceded in death by grandparents, Virginia Ruiz, Elvira Almeda Vasquez, and Jesus Hernandez Vasquez; uncle, Robert Ruiz; cousin, Seluis (Sel) Zuniga, and Mireya Vasquez.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a vigil at 6:30pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy December 4, 2018 at 10:00am at St. Peter Martyr Church. Committal services following at Oak View Memorial Park 2500 E. 18 ^th St., Antioch, Ca 94509.

Serving as pallbearers will be Manuel Vasquez, father, Jose Robert Vasquez Jr., son, Claudio Vasquez, god father, Jose Angel Vasquez, uncle, Jesus Vasquez Sr., brother, Jesus Vasquez Jr., nephew, Raul Berdiago Sr., father-in-law, and Raul Berdiago Jr., brother-in-law; Honorary Pallbearers, will be Marcello Vasquez, son, Robert Vasquez, nephew, and Daniel Lopez, father-in-law.

Jose will be in loving memory forever. We will miss him desperately.
