Joseph Archimede, 84, passed on July 21, 2016. He served during the Korean War (1951 – 1955), as a member of the U.S. Navy. He went on to earn an undergraduate degree in the field of Psychology, from the University of California, Berkeley.
Mr. Archimede retired as an employee of Contra Costa County's Juvenile correctional facility, at Byron's Boys Ranch. His passions were his family, educational endeavors and serving his community; with special focus to those in his community in need of bilingual, financial and career counseling. He proudly availed much of his energy as a organizer for his local chapters of the G.I. Forum and the Mexican-American Political Association.
Joseph is survived by his three children, Jose, Victoria and Gino Archimede. He is also survived by his beloved brothers, sisters, grandchildren and family members.
