Joseph D. Davi, of Rio Vista, CA passed away on June 12, 2022.  Joe was born in Pittsburg, CA on August 4, 1953 to Horace W. and Nina P. Davi (Russo), who both preceded him in death. Joe received his PHD (if you know, you know) in 1971, he went on to play football at San Francisco State, before returning home to his beloved Pittsburg to begin training as a building inspector.

Joe served the City of Concord as a Building Inspector for nearly 20 years before moving on to a consulting position that took him to various parts of California.

An avid fisherman, Joe could often be seen working on his boat before enjoying lunch at his favorite restaurant, "The Mecca". Joe loved fishing as much as he loved sports and if he wasn't on his boat, he was catching a game.

Joe is survived by his two daughters, Stephanie Davi McNeely (Stanton) and Joanne Davi (Mathew Williams) and two cherished grandsons, Dominic (10) and Jackson (6) as well as his brother Salvatore Davi (Susan), aunts Maryann Crawford and Francine Bartlett (Wally) and countless cousins and friends.

Services will be held at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel on June 23. Visitation will begin 2:00 pm, with services to follow at 3:30 pm.
