Our beloved Josephine (Josie) passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2016. Josie was born February 19, 1949 in the Philippines. She was the 5th born of 6 children to Glicerio and Toribia (Padilla) Lumbre. The family came to the states when she was just a year and a half old. She graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1967 where she was lead majorette and a member of the school band. Josie enjoyed a long and successful career with Chevron and retired from the company after 35 years. She was a member of New Hope Church in Concord, and enjoyed crafting, scrabble, crossword puzzles, trips to the casino, concerts and browsing thrift shops. What Josie cherished most was the time spent with her family.

Josie is survived by her brother George Lumbre of Concord, her devoted husband Luis Reyes of Concord, children Yolanda Silva of Pleasant Hill, Jerry "Sonny" Silva of Alamo, Chuey Reyes (Jacquelyn) of Pleasant Hill, Kemma Earlix of Pleasant Hill, and seven beautiful grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10:00am with a funeral service at 12:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel, 2295 Railroad Ave., Pittsburg
