Obituary

Joyce Keys Brewer was born on December 23, 1948 to the late Marie Maxie Keys and Ernest Lee Keys Sr in Martinez, California. She was one of five children. Joyce attended Pacifica High School where she received her high school diploma in 1967. She worked for the Mt. Diablo Unified School District in administration and retired in 2013. Joyce had three children and two grandson whom she raised as her own.

Joyce became  a Jehovah Witness in 1973 where she was a devoted witness at the Kingdom Hall and participated in outreach. Joyce was a loving kind hearted woman who enjoyed cooking, dancing, and listening to old school music while cooking great meals for her family. Entertaining for her friends was always her pleasure and you felt at home ever time you went to visit her.
She was  straight forward, hard working, honest person and can keep a secret ( unless it was so funny she had to tell it as long it was nothing to upset  person or offend anyone in anyway)
Joyce became ill in 2015 but sickness never stopped her will to live nor have fun with family. She would keep in contact with all who she loved very much, and all who loved her as well. if you needed her for anything if it was in her means she would help you.
She departed this life on Wednesday, January 8th, 2020 at Kaiser in Walnut Creek, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents Marie and Ernest Keys Sr.,, her son Robert  Ugene Woods, her sisters Hazel, pearl, and Velma Keys, and one brother Ernest Keys Jr.
