Mrs. Joyce Mattox, 81, died surrounded by Her Children on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Joyce was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 29th, 1943, to the lates Lawrence Gray Sr. & Janey L. Barnett (Gray).  After completing High School, she married her 1st Husband which later produced (1) Child "Kevin"

Upon her Divorce, she moved to San Francisco, CA & met Her 2nd Husband K.C. Sr., Who had 2 kids from previous relationships (Kalvin / Patti) & together, produced (4) Children. (K.C. Jr., Alicia, Gabrielle & Jason.  This union would last 48 years until his untimely death in 2016.

Joyce retired from the City & County of San Francisco after 35 years of Service. She was also a faithful Member of Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C & was one of the Church's Evangelist.  She was a powerhouse soloist & was a member of many musical ensembles, including singing backup for the Composer & Keyboard player, George Duke.

She was also an excellent Seamstress who made most of Her dresses & created a clothing line in the 80's entitled "Concoctions Unlimited" Joyce loved traveling, cooking & above all, hanging with her Grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by Her Sons: Kevin Grandville - Antioch CA, Kalvin Charles Mattox -   Lufkin Texas, K.C. Mattox Jr. – Pittsburg, CA, Jason Mattox – Antioch, CA. Her Daughters: Alicia Mattox – Graham & Gabrielle Mattox – Pittsburg, CA. Her Grandchildren: Kelvrett Mattox & Kashauna Mattox (Texas) Shane Mattox - Korea (ARMY) Savannah Mattox – Simon – la, Savoy Shakura Mattox – GA, Courtney Graham – Smith – CA, LaRaine Graham – GA, Jasceanna Mattox – Texas, Jason Mattox Jr. - CA, Jahliyah Mattox, CA & K.C (Vaugh Tommy) Mattox - CA
