Obituary

Julia Frias, who was a bi-lingual teachers' aide at Highlands Elementary School for over 35 years, died at her home at the age of 95 years. A native of Mexico she lived in Pittsburg for 65 years. She was a member of Sociedad Guadalupana Maria Auxiliary; Sagrado Corazon de Jesus; Funeraria Mexicana of Pittsburg; and sang in the church choir for over 35 years.

Julia is survived by her 4 children; Tereza Gonzalez(Carlos); Helen Alba- (Bob); Linda Vasquez-(Thomas); Richard Frias-(Anita); sisters, Aurelia Valdez, Margaret Aragon, brothers, Bensie, Richard, and Manuel Quesada; 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Carmen Frias.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at 4:00pm with a vigil at 6:30pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 10:00am at St. Peter Martyr Church. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Kaiser Hospice, 200 Muir Rd, Martinez, CA 94553.
