Julia Lopez passed in peace and went home to be with the Lord on March 15, at the age of 93. Born December 21, 1922 in Llano Grande, Mexico and raised in Pittsburg. A consummate homemaker and mother, Julia was an avid baker and cook had an unwavering faith in God and a devout Catholic. Her presence was inspiring, soft-spoken with a silly streak and a song in her heart. She was special to those who loved her. All who had the privilege of knowing Julia will miss her.
Julia is survived by her children: Adrian, Martin, Irene, Evelyn, Rosalie and Mary, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sibling's: Jess, Joe, Jennie, Vergie, Louie and Bobby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny C. Lopez, parents Yldefonsa and Victoriano Quesada, sister, Aurora, brother, Frank, and son-in- law, Syl.
Visitation will be held on Thurs, 3/31, 4pm with a vigil 7pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Fri, 4/1, 10am at Church of the Good Shepherd. Committal following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch.
