Kay Susan
Cattolico
Dec 22, 1946 — Apr 26, 2026
Our beloved Kay Susan Cattolico, age 79, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 22, 1946, to John and Virginia (Davi) Belleci, she was a lifelong resident of Pittsburg, California. She spent her early years rooted in family and tradition - values she carried with her throughout her life.
Kay worked as a hairdresser for 15 years and later co-owned a jewelry store, Sorellas, with her sister and best friend, Francesca "Cesca." She retired to dedicate herself fully to what mattered most to her - being a devoted, full-time mother. Her children, Danee', Victor, and John were the center of her world and she poured her heart into raising and supporting them. Her greatest joy was found in her granddaughters, her "princesses," Morgan Kay and Cameron Zamora.
Kay had a vibrant personality and a love for life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping - she was a true fashionista, going out to lunch, playing cards, and visiting Santa Cruz and the casino. She especially loved indulging in See's Candies and sharing a cup of tea while visiting with family and friends. Known for her warmth and generosity, Kay was a selfless mother not only to her own children but to many others, always deeply involved in the lives of those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Virginia, as well as many beloved aunts and uncles. Kay is survived by her husband, Ras; her sister, Cesca; her brother-in-law Ron; her daughter, Danee'; her son-in-law, Eddie; her sons, Victor (Dylan), and John and her diva dog, Bella; and her cherished granddaughters, Morgan and Cameron Zamora. Kay will be remembered for her deep love of family, her selfless spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Kay's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
