Kenneth Fackrell's Obituary
Kenneth Ronald Fackrell, passed peacefully on May 3rd 2018. He was born in Raymond, WA on November 4th, 1928, the youngest of 11 children. Ken grew up in American Falls, ID and was a member of the 1946 state championship basketball team. He was also a veteran of the USMC. Ken met the love of his life, Noreen Faust, while in college. They married in 1951 and had 3 children. The family moved to Pittsburg, CA in 1962 and continued their careers in education. Ken was an English teacher, Counselor and Vice Principal at Pittsburg HS. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and ran the city rifle range after retiring. Ken loved to cruise on Holland America with Noreen. Known as Papa to his grandchildren, he loved spending time, nurturing and providing wisdom to his family.
Papa is survived by his wife of 66 years, Noreen; 3 children - Mike (Jackie), Scott (Jana) and Rona Dosen (Dave); 6 grandchildren (Sarah, Ross, Melanie, Jared, Eric and Christina); 3 great grandchildren (Caleb, Nolan and Clark). His grandson, Shane, predeceased him.
Celebration of Ken's Life will be held Sun. Nov 4, 2018 at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel at 11:00am.
