Kenneth "Ken" Wayne Wilson passed away on February 25, 2025, in Pittsburg, California. He was born on October 31, 1948, in Marysville, California, the youngest of five children. Ken grew up on his family's farm and graduated from Marysville High School in 1966. He went on to study at Yuba City Community College before earning a double major in Biology and History with a minor in Zoology from UC Davis.

Ken had a deep passion for wrestling, a sport that became a lifelong pursuit. He competed throughout high school and college, and later, his love for the sport led him to coaching and even competing again—earning a Master's National Championship in 1996.

While attending UC Davis, Ken met the love of his life, Sheryl Blakely. The two were married on May 28, 1972, and built a beautiful life together. They moved around a bit before settling in Antioch, California, where they lovingly raised their three children: Heather (Aaron), Brian (Katie), and Mark (Courtney). Ken had a gift for teaching and found his true calling in the classroom, where he inspired countless students while teaching science in Pittsburg, Mt. Diablo, and Antioch school districts.

After retiring, Ken and Sheryl embarked on a new adventure, moving to Alaska to be closer to their daughter Heather and their grandchildren. Following Sheryl's passing in 2022, Ken returned to the Bay Area.

Ken is now reunited with his wife, Sheryl, and his parents. He leaves behind his children, Heather (Aaron), Brian (Katie), and Mark (Courtney), as well as his adored grandchildren—Brandon, Xavier, and Winnie—

A private celebration of Ken's life will be held March 30th, where family and friends will gather to honor a life well-lived.
