Larry
Pineda
Jul 16, 1944 — Feb 7, 2021
Oakley
Our community is feeling the absence of a pillar, favorably known as Pastor Larry. Arcadio "Larry" Pineda, 76, of Oakley, California, passed from this life into eternal life on February 7, 2021 in the ICU at Kaiser Hospital. He suffered greatly from the devastations of the COVID-19 virus.
Pastor Larry was born in Los Angeles, California, on July 16, 1944. At the age of 6 years old his family moved to Pittsburg, California where he lived most of his life. A graduate of Pittsburg High School, he spent four years in the United States Air Force and is honored as a Veteran. Larry worked for 31 years as a Operator at Dow Chemical & Calpine, but his true passion was serving as a Certified Counselor, and most of all as a loving Pastor to the community. He will be remembered for his genuine smile, heartfelt hugs, sweet kisses, and warm hospitality.
Pastor Larry leaves behind his loving wife, Lucretia of 18 years, his eldest son Craig, wife Nicole, and three grandchildren: Carli, Sydni, and Holli; youngest son Christian, daughter Tonya, and four grandchildren: Elizabeth, Josiah, Ralph, and Raydee. As well as his son Nathan, granddaughter Sage, and great-granddaughter, Kaila. Also survived by his brother Richard, and wife Gloria, their sons, and families. Sister-in-law Nettie, her children, and their families. Half- brother Leonard, his wife Paulette, and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents Kayo and Adeline, wife Rachel, brother Mike, and cousin Zulie. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all the people he touched.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 1:00pm at the Fellowship Church in Antioch.
