Leslie Marion Stroup's Obituary
Leslie Marion Jennings Stroup, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 of natural causes. Born to Daisy Winona West and Leslie Jennings of Santa Cruz. Leslie moved to Richmond in '41 with her sister Margaret and their mother, who worked in the Navy shipyards during WWII. After marrying Elmer Stroup, she moved to the east bay in '49, raised three children, and enjoyed time with extended family and friends. After finishing HS Diploma in night school, Leslie secured work to give her family 'more opportunities'. Anchor Glass co-workers will recall her kindness, humor, and renowned deviled eggs.
Leslie is survived by her sister Margret, two sons, David and Jim, daughter Shirley, granddaughter Shawna, and numerous nieces and nephews, Leslie is remembered for resolute generosity and unconditional love.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Graveside services Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 11:00am at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Concord.
