Obituary

Librada aged 79 passed away with her children and grandchildren by her side on June 16. 2021 courageously battling dementia illness.
Librada is preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Aquino Maxion, her parents Jose Berania and Irene Berania, her son Eduardo "Doe" Maxion and stepson Harry Maxion and her brother Teofilo Berania. Survived by her children Samuel Maxion and Sylvia Maxion Gonzalez and step children Johnnie Maxion Jr, Rudy Maxion, Michael Soto and Steven Soto. Grandchildren Savannah Montgomery and Alaynah Gonzalez and many step Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Siblings Aurencio "Mario" Berania, Marcos Berania, Eduardo Berania, Adela Escobar and Teresita Gonzales and many nieces and nephews.
Librada worked as a housekeeper for 25 years with Sheraton Hotel in Concord, Ca where she retired in 2003. She was a longtime member of the Filipino-American Association in Pittsburg Ca and Sons and Daughters of Binmaley Berkeley Ca. She enjoyed taking trips to casinos and family outings, She enjoyed dancing and listening to music. Her happiness was spending time with her grandchildren Savannah and Alaynah and hosting family gatherings and cooking meals for those who would come to her home.
Those who were blessed to have known her will remember her for her sweet, kind and loving nature. She impacted many lives with her beautiful smile and warm heart. She loved and cared for her family. She will be greatly missed by all. We will forever cherish the memories we had with her.
Family and Friends are invited to celebrate her life. Visitation and Rosary will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 2pm to 6pm with a r osary at 4pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Friday July 2, 2021 at 11:00am at Church of the Good Shepherd. Committal services f ollowing at Oak View Memorial Park Cemetery.
