Linda died on April 19th after being struck by a car during her morning walk.
The second of four sisters, Linda was born October 5th, 1950 in Springfield Illinois. She matriculated from Vista High School in 1968 before heading off to Illinois State University where she earned her BA in Literature with a teaching credential and Masters of American Literature in 1974. She met, fell in love with, and married Jay Cochran on March 13, 1976. Together, they somehow managed to raise five children while pursuing careers at the Treasury Department where both retired on January 1st 2016 after more than 30 years of Federal service.
She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, sisters, and everyone whose lives she touched during her 65 years of living, mothering, teaching, walking, wearing purple, gardening, cross-stitching, and reading.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 2201 Golf Club Road, Pittsburg, CA 94565.
