Lou passed suddenly at home on September 2, 2020. He is survived by his wife Malou and his two children Sam and Annie Reinthaler. He also leaves behind three sisters (Terry Amara Boero, Vickie Del Simone, Maggie Kremer) and two brothers (Mark and John Reinthaler).

Lou was born is North Oakland and attended St. Augustine's Grammar School.  He graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1970.

Lou worked in the trades and then became a building inspector for Contra Costa County.

Lou loved to travel with his wife Malou and enjoyed family camping trips as well.  He was a life-long disappointed Cal Bears Fan. Lou could always be seen smiling at family gatherings and enjoyed the company of all.

The family was blessed to have known such a great husband, brother, and friend.
