Obituary

Louis Joseph Valenzuela Sr., otherwise known as "Bomber" was loved by many. He was born on February 15, 1930 in Pittsburg, California and passed away peacefully on September 23, 2021. Bomber is survived by his wife, Rebecca, of 68 years. They were married on June 21,1953. Together they have three sons, Louis Jr., John, and Gilbert; four grandchildren, Michael Joseph, Timothy, Mia, and Louis; and eight great grandchildren.

Bomber was raised in the city of Pittsburg and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1948.  He served in the United States Navy during the years of 1948-1952. He was a faithful employee of Dow Chemical from 1967-1989.
Bomber belonged to the Compadre Club a group of locals that enjoy getting together and traveling. He was involved with the Door of Faith Orphanage in Mexico for decades with his co-workers. He volunteered his time as a driver for cancer patients after surviving cancer himself.  Bomber cherished  his visits from his family. He loved sports, enjoyed movies, loved to go on walks, and he loved watching the Blue Angels.
Memorial will be held on October 15th at 10:00am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
