Obituary

Louis Salvatore Verduzco, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife & children, at the age of 87 on December 4, 2018. He was born on January 11, 1931 in Madera California to the late Godfredo and Agapita Verduzco. He proudly served in the US Air Force from 1950-1954 as an Airplane Mechanic. He graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1949. He fought in the Korean War & received an Ambassador for Peace Medal from the Korean Republic in 2018. He worked at Shell Oil Refinery for 33 years. Louis enjoyed traveling to Yosemite, Disneyland, going on cruises, going to the gym, eating at the New Mecca Cafe and being with family.


Louis is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carolyn Verduzco, sons: Mark, Louis, Steve, Kenneth & Ryan (Lisa) Verduzco. Daughter: Vanessa (Keith) Verduzco, Step Children: Jamie (Sean) Love, Jerry (Manjeet) Wheat & Michael (Eileen) Wheat. Sisters: Carmin Collins, Antoinette Tracy & Isabel Neugebauer, 22 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren & numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, whom he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents Godfredo & Agapita Verduzco, brothers: Adrian (Emma) Verduzco, Al Verduzco, Anthony Verduzco & Raymond Verduzco. Sisters: Mary Lou (Sal) Suniga, Margaret (Charlie)Gallegos, Lola (Buddy) Aiello, Connie DePaola & Helen Verduzco


Visitation will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral Service Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 10am both days at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Military burial following at 1:00pm at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon.
