Lifelong Pittsburg resident, Louise passed away early Saturday morning after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Louise retired after 30 years service with Pittsburg Community Hospital as dietician. She spent her spare time serving the community as a charter member of the Latin American Women's League, raising funds for scholarships. A member of Los Compadres Club and Parishioner of St. Peter Martyr Catholic Church. Louise and her husband Moises spent most of their 61 years of marriage traveling and spending time with family and friends before Moises' passing in 2007. She will be greatly missed for her beautiful smile, love and compassion. Louise was preceded in death by her husband Moises, parents Andy and Vena Ortega, sister Hortencia Soto and brother Aldolfo Ortega. Louise will be missed by all her many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral liturgy will be Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 10am at St. Peter Martyr Chruch. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation for the exceptional care given by The Willow Pass Health Care Center and the East Bay Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Research Foundation or East Bay Hospice.
