Obituary

Lucille Eva Siino passed peacefully on February 11, 2021 at the age of 95.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Enes, son, David Siino (Beverly), four grandchildren, Gregory Enes (Shannon), Jeffrey Enes, (Monica), Lauren Engstrand, (Tanner), Stephen Siino, nine great grandchildren, Joseph, Caroline, and Emily Enes, Eloise and Beatrix Enes, Paislyn, Wyatt and Colton Engstrand, and Jack Siino, four sisters, Charlotte Pearson, Phyllis Bates, Mary Helen Nuovo and Marilyn Zellaha, two brothers, Robert and Gary Johnson, sister-in-law, Sissy Siino, brother-in-law, Joe Siino (Sheila), and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Peter Siino, her parents, sisters, Audrey Costanza, June Goettsche, and Shirley Costa, and brothers, Marvin, Ferman and Jim Johnson.

Lucille was born August 27, 1925 to Helen and Leslie Johnson and grew up in Spencer, Iowa with her twelve siblings.  At the age of seventeen, she joined her oldest sister, Charlotte, in Pittsburg, California.  She married Peter Siino in 1946 and together they raised their family in Pittsburg.

Lucille was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends. She worked in the banking/finance industry for many years, was on the accounting team at Schlitz Brewery and was also a realtor.  She enjoyed being an Avon representative for numerous years.  Her passion for contributing and caring about the City of Pittsburg led her to run for office on two separate occasions.  Her Catholic faith was very important to her, and she volunteered her time at Good Shepherd Church.  In her late 80's, as a resident of Stoneman Village, she enjoyed serving on various committees and volunteering in the Village store.  She was a woman young at heart, very independent, filled with energy and a strong will, and never shied away from trying something new. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
