With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother,Lucrecia Mallare, who left us peacefully on July 6, 2025 at the age of 92.

Lucrecia was born on March 16, 1933 in Candanay Sur, Siquijor Philippines. She grew up in a poor but close-knit family, where she learned the value of hard work and perseverance. Seeking a brighter future, she immigrated to the United States, where she worked diligently in the hotel industry, carving out a new life for herself and her family.

A talented dancer, cook, and baker, Lucrecia filled our homes—and our hearts—with delicious meals and sweet treats. She was known for her firm but fair nature, raising her family with strong values and gentle guidance. Beneath her sometimes strict exterior was a woman who was deeply loving, caring, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Her warmth, strength, and generosity touched all who knew her, leaving behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy.

Lucrecia is survived by her sisters, nieces, grandsons and granddaughter along with many other relatives and friends whose lives she brightened.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 9:30am to 110:30am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy following at 12:00pm at church of the Good Shepherd.

Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in the meals we share, the lessons we remember, and the love that binds our family together.
