Obituary

Born and raised in the Pittsburg area, to Michele and Lena Esposito, Millie's love for the East Bay was matched only by her love for her family (and maybe the Giants). Millie did not have any friends because everyone she met instantly became family. Millie was probably most known for her open door policy. Her loved ones could drop by anytime and she would be ready with a home cooked meal, an open seat at the dinner table, and if needed, even a spare bed. Millie was so much more than a homemaker, she was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, and nana.
Millie married her loving husband, on June 26, 1948. They had 48 beautiful years together before he went to be with the Lord in 1996. Millie is survived by her brothers: Andy, Charles (Mamie), and Eddie (Edna) Esposito, her children: Mary (Nick) Amador, Michael Lucido, and Julie (Mark) Dayton, her grandchildren: Tamee (James) Lane, Santos and Joseph Amador, and Mark Jr. and Katarina Dayton, and her great-grandchildren: Phillip, Dezra, and Heaven Lane. With Millie's passing, came her reunion with her true love: Horace "Red" Lucido and her beloved siblings: Frank, Mike, Julius, Caroline, and Rosemarie Esposito, Nancy Basterrechea, and Johnny Cambra.
All loved ones are welcome to attend a committal service on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00am at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch. A Celebration of Life will be held at Millie's home, immediately following.
