Manolo "Nols" Jovito Santos Paiso was called home peacefully on June 7, 2026, at 2:45 PM, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on October 6, 1946, in Lingayen, Pangasinan, Philippines, Manolo lived a life defined by dedication, brilliance, and an unwavering love for his family. He was the beloved husband of his late wife, Elenita "Ely" Pernia Paiso, with whom he shared a lifetime of beautiful memories and enduring partnership.

A man of exceptional skill and intellect, Manolo built a distinguished career as a Merchant Marine. Through hard work and sharp expertise, he achieved the distinction of becoming the youngest Chief Engineer in his company's history—a prestigious leadership position he proudly and skillfully held for four decades.

Beyond his professional achievements, Manolo was a master problem-solver who loved staying active. He could often be found tending to his garden, working on cars, exercising, or enthusiastically diving into home projects. He was incredibly handy with tools, and there was rarely a mechanical or practical challenge he couldn't solve.

Above all, Manolo's greatest legacy is his family. As a devoted patriarch, he poured his time, energy, and wisdom into guiding and protecting those he loved.

He is survived by his children and their spouses: Noele (Maria), Anne Marie (Will), Aimee (Jason), and Megan (Christian). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Will (Jenna), Noele J, Jacob, Nicolas, and Ellara. He was preceded in death by his beloved great-grandchild, Lexington. Manolo also holds a special place in the hearts of his many nieces and nephews, whom he was deeply devoted to, helping shape their lives and anchoring them as they built their futures.

Manolo's strength, guidance, and generous spirit will be profoundly missed, but his legacy will live on in the family he anchored so beautifully.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 22, 2206, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 10:30 am at Church of the Good Shepherd.
