Maria Rebecca Villanueva Dolojan, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Estrella Dolojan and her parents, Jaime Gimeno Villanueva and Pilar Perejon Villanueva.
A loving sister to Salome Villanueva Hozeska and the late Florentino and Pedro Villanueva, Maria Rebecca was the beacon in the lives of her five children - Jaime, Abraham and Esther Dolojan Disuanco of Las Vegas, NV, Becky Dolojan Naca of Bay Point, CA and Tony of Pittsburg, CA. She was the confidant of and loved by her daughters-in- law, Kathy Kessler Dolojan, Maribeth Lagmay Dolojan and Maria de la Paz Dolojan and sons-in-law Jorge Disuanco and Jun Naca.
Maria Rebecca was the world to her grandchildren - Eric and Maribel, Jarrod and Michelle, Christine and Andrew, Frances, Marites, Christopher, Camille-Anne, Mikey and Janice. Although it was only Victor Capili Dolojan who was able spend real time with her, one could always see and feel her loving gaze at her other great grandchildren whenever they visited–Nikko, Matthew, Dominic, Caiden and Lucas Abram.
Through her elementary and college days at St. Scholastica's College in Manila, Philippines then on through her working years at See's Candy in South San Francisco, Maria Rebecca's ebullience lifted everyone around her. A very animated story teller, she always drew a mesmerized audience.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 4:00pm will a vigil 6:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Friday, December 6, 2013 10:00am at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Committal services following Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch.
