Obituary

Marilyn Sue Gosling passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11,2025, at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Vacaville, California, at the age of 77. Born on June 12,1947, in Garden City, Kansas, Marilyn graduated with the Garden City High School Class of 1965. After building a full life rooted in dedication and care, she eventually made her home in California, where she touched the lives of many through her kindness, creativity, and spirited personality.

Marilyn had a lifelong passion for cooking and baking, often delighting family and friends. She found joy in the simple pleasures- coloring both freehand and by numbers, and cheering on her favorite basketball team, the Golden State Warriors.

Marilyn spent 25 years as an office manager for a major Bay Area car dealership, where she was respected for her professionalism and admired for her warm and welcoming nature. She retired with a legacy of hard work and lasting friendships.

She is survived by her devoted husband of over 23 years, Tyrone Williams of Rio Vista, California; her loving step son Terrance Williams (Sharon) Fairfield, California, and 4 grandkids, and 2 great grand kids. Loving Sisters: Kay Kulhman of Garden City, Kansas, Sharon Parks of Witchita, Kansas, Debi Staats of Garden City, Kansas and Sarah Staats of Wellington, Colorado; as well as a host of extended family members, including nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will deeply miss her presence and spirit.

Marilyn was preceded in Death by her parents, John and Dorothy Merz, whose love and guidance shaped the strong and compassionate woman she became. Marilyn will be remembered for her warmth, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. She leaves behind cherished memories that will live on in hearts of her family and friends.
